The ribbon cutting for the state-of-the-art facility was on December 19, 2013 under the leadership of Sheriff Duane Dillon. All cellblocks are monitored from a central control room with video recording equipment making it easier for law enforcement officials to track the inmates actions.  The facility meets standards to house state inmates with minimal contact between the jailers and inmates.
